Summer Internship Program - Administration

Princess Cruises – We are currently searching for highly motivated Graduate, MBAs and Undergraduate students to join dynamic Administration Department. Selected interns will work on departmental projects as well as participate in professional development and enrichment activities.

  • The program runs 10 weeks from June 10th - August 16th OR June 17th - August 23th (Please note, END dates can be extended depending on department needs and students availability.)


  • Must be currently enrolled as an under graduate (junior standing or above) or graduate student with a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher (will require transcripts) in a four year accredited College/University.
  • MUST NOT be a graduating senior in the summer.
  • Students under OPT and CPT status will not be considered at this time.


  • Administration – Project will include coordinating vendors and logistics for Rideshare Commuter Fair, identify and administer  monthly Club Fitness Promotions, assist with the set-up of Ergonomic Program and Platform, assist with the administration of the OSHA Injury Illness Prevention Program (Safety and Ergo), and assist with the Ergonomic Program Policy. You will need to possess computer skills, Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Access & Compliance – Project will give you the opportunity to learn valuable skills in regards to office work you will be educated in the Americans with Disabilities Act and how the Access and Compliance Office ensures that Princess abides by and does not violate this Federal Law. You will be working with the Access & Compliance Office in handling the increased volume of guest requests related to mobility and disability needs during the busy Alaska and Europe season. This person will also be collaborating with many other departments at the corporate office (Shore Excursions, Land Support, Logistics, Legal, Customer Relations, Ship Services, etc).
  • Customer Relations – Project will provide the opportunity to interface with key individuals within multiple business units and gain a broad understanding of our overall operations. You will be relied upon to provide analytical context and insight during project meetings. They will be exposed to our technical systems and processes. You will assist in the design and build out of an executive-level reporting strategy. This program will focus on the measurement of customer experience throughout all phases of their journey, but with an initial concentration on post-cruise complaints.


  • Well organized and accurate, able to multi-task – adaptability to quickly changing work gears as well as able to communicate effectively with colleagues and managers both verbally and written.
  • Will be responsible to find your own lodging and must be willing to find reliable transportation to Santa Clarita. (Note: This is a suburb of Los Angeles. Public transportation is available but is limited.)
  • Must be authorized to work for all employers in the US.


  • Paid hourly; $18.00/hr. Undergraduate Students and $30.00/hr. Graduate Students.


  • Administration


  • (May include but not limited to): Business Administration, HR, Communications, Business, Marketing, Finance, Information Systems or related fields.


  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, especially MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Access.
  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of making abstract connections within data
  • Working knowledge of SQL, databases and networks
  • Experience with Business Objects, Tableau, Siebel a plus
  • Depending on type of position, other specific programs may be required.
